Together In Hope Charity Single Release
NEW SINGLE ‘AGAINST THE WIND’ SUPPORTING THE COVID-19 EMERGENCY FUND
In Place of War is excited to announce the release of the single, Against The Wind, to be released on 26th August 2021, with all proceeds supporting our COVID Emergency Fund.
Through the Together In Hope project, founded and produced by Sound Republica, the South Korean-based global music distributor represented on our Global Music Industry Advisory Board, the production of the single has been a labour of love. The result of 16 months of remote recording and mixing, Against The Wind was performed and recorded by 70 musicians from 12 countries, including South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Canada, Germany, Russia, Italy, Ireland, Israel, Romania and Qatar. The track is being mastered at the iconic Abbey Road Studios.
18 months after COVID-19 began impacting and restricting daily lives worldwide, many living in the Global South are still suffering the ongoing hardships and devastating toll of the pandemic. The Together In Hope project, founded, produced and coordinated by Sound Republica, in partnership with In Place of War and K-Pop production team, Mad Soul Child, is releasing the single, which has brought musicians together from around the world, to raise funds and awareness for the plight of those hit hardest by the pandemic in some of the countries where we support projects.
