Cultural Organisations Capacity Building Programme
This programme responds to the challenges for small and grassroots organisations around capacity building and recovery during and after the Covid-19 pandemic. It explores innovative strategies around survival for organisations and explores planning for sustainability. It includes a Train the Trainer element, so that subsequent cycles of the programme can be delivered by a local Trainer, and is certified by the University of Manchester.
Aims
To support grassroots cultural organisations to develop from start-ups to sustainable and resilient organisations.
To expose learners to diverse models and practices using live case studies from across the world.
To facilitate the development of critical thinking, life and business skills through the classroom activities and an ‘Organisational Planning Challenge’ - to develop a real-life multi-year strategic plan for their cultural organisation.
To connect cultural organisation community leaders with peers from In Place of War’s global network, through online workshops and talks and social media platforms to facilitate knowledge exchange, networking and collaboration.
