100 AGENTS OF CHANGE

The 100 Agents of Change project is an exciting new art and activism project connecting some of the most revolutionary innovative artists and change makers from around the world with young people from marginalised communities in the UK, to share their experiences, skills and knowledge.

We live in an increasingly polarised world, but there are beacons of hope – young people becoming agents of change, and using technology and innovative methods to form international solidarities and use creativity to educate against and fight injustice.

The 100 Agents of Change Residency will be held virtually in November 2021, and will allow artists from our network around the world to share their skills and knowledge of how to use what we have around us - creativity and our communities - to make the change we want to see in the world. The residency will take place over four weeks online, with a programme co-designed and shaped by the young people.

We will support the young people who have taken part in the residency to take those new skills and knowledge back into their communities across the country and use them to promote social cohesion through art and activism. 10 young people from the group will be selected for seed funding to further support the development of their community projects.

We are working with some brilliant partner youth organisations to deliver this programme, including:

Women's Community Matters / Conscious Youth / 0161 / Yellow House / Rising Arts Agency / Art Against Knives / Outside Projects / Compass Collective DASH / Beatfreeks / Shout Festival / Counterpoint Arts

Participants from local organisation Lluvia de Orion in Comuna 13, Medellín.
