Research
Our work is built on a foundation of rigorous academic research pioneered by the University of Manchester. In Place of War is committed to driving innovation in practice in the arts and development fields. To this end, our activities are grounded in field research. Undertaking research enables us to generate new insights that inform our practice as well as contributing to policy and widen debates on the value of art in society.
Outputs
Our academic outputs include white papers, international policy documents, academic research, training curricula and acclaimed publications such as ‘Performance In Place of War’ written by James Thompson, Jenny Hughes and Michael Balfour.
Evaluation
Every aspect of our work is evaluated and impact-assessed ensuring that we are delivering the maximum, measurable, economic impact of our donors, stakeholders and partners whilst remaining focused on our goals, and beneficiaries.
