MUSIC SAVED MY LIFE

Welcome to the Music Saved My Life Podcast. In this series, In Place of War explores the role of music in the lives of music makers, listeners, producers and facilitators across the world - exploring music as culture, rather than music as commerce and music on the margins.

The series aims to explore how music impacts the lives of those who make it, play it and live it. Why is music so important? How does music change and save lives? Why does music do this? This podcast involves conversations between people from different places, walks of life and situations - but all with the shared passion and love for one thing - music!

Music Saved My Life is hosted by Ruth Daniel (CEO, In Place of War) and Laima Leyton (musician, artist & DJ). Join them as they talk to some of the most interesting people involved in music on the planet, to give a greater insight into the role of music in saving us, helping us express ourselves, and contributing to social and political change.
