#HackMusic 2025
The #HackMusic Catalyst Programme brings together several of the music assets of In Place of War to help support grassroots, emerging organisations in areas affected by:
Conflict
Climate change
Social injustice
Through financial support, a pioneering education programme, equipment donations, mentoring and internships - the programme aims to utilise In Place of War’s global network to help these change-makers take their ideas and organisations to the next level and build sustainable futures.

INSTITUTO TAKI
SACRED VALLEY, PERU
Instituto Taki works with Quechua communities in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, revitalising endangered music and instruments through workshops and performances.
They are establishing Taki Records, a recording studio to preserve traditional Andean music and provide young artists with tools to produce and distribute their work.
The equipment will help them realise their mission of creating this recording studio.
TINY TOONES
PHNOM PENH
Tiny Toones uses hip-hop dance and music to inspire and educate marginalised youth, helping reintegrate 80% of its participants back into the public school system.
They aim to enhance their creative programs by producing a hip-hop album featuring student work, providing young people with a platform to express themselves and develop their musical talents.
JAGUAR SIEMBRA
Sierra Nevada, Colombia
Jaguar Siembra uses the power of the arts, storytelling, and education to co-grow food forests with indigenous families in Colombia, preserving their ecosystems and cultural heritage wisdom.
They aim to construct a “Music Temple” in the jungles of the Sierra Nevada which will act as a creative hub to document the ancient melodies of the indigenous communities. It will also be a space for collaboration and co-creation between indigenous and international artists.
YALLAH FOUNDATION
KAMPALA, UGANDA
Spearheaded by prominent rapper, MC Yallh, Yallah Foundation aims to empower young women and marginalized artists through hip-hop, DJ training, and mentorship programs.
Their focus is on fostering skills, confidence, and opportunities for creative expression.
With help from our equipment partners, Yallah Foundation plans to expand their training programs and empower more young women to engage in music production and performance.

Sao Paulo, Brazil
A creative hub housed within the larger Mídia Ninja network, a movement that amplifies underrepresented voices through media and cultural production.
The space features a live performance area and lodging, providing essential infrastructure for regoinal musicians to affordably showcase their art to wider audience.
With the support of our equipment partners they plan to finish building a recording studio for use amongst the artists they support.
BLACK BOX SOUNDS
islamabad, pakistan
Black Box Sounds has spent nearly two decades promoting peace, tolerance, and social inclusion across Pakistan.
They work with marginalized musicians from conflict-ridden regions, providing them with platforms to share their art and stories.
With the support of equipment from our partners BlackBox Sounds aims to enhance their Music Lab, organize performances, and connect marginalized musicians to wider audiences.
