GRRRL / We Work We Play
GRRRL is an electronic music collaboration between revolutionary women, brought together by ‘In Place of War’, a global organisation that supports artistic creativity in places of conflict as a tool for positive change.
GRRRL music is directed by Brazil’s Laima Leyton (Mixhell/Soulwax), and the project features an exhilarating mix of influential artists, including Zimbabwe’s Rapper Queen AWA (African Women Arise), The Queen of Brazilian Dancehall Lei Di Dai, The Young Lioness of Africa Wiyaala, UK/Bangladeshi vocalist Sohini Alam, and DJ and Percussionist from Caracas, MABE.
This is GRRRL’s debut EP released in 2018, plus a brand new unreleased track featuring Charlotte Adigéry ‘Light Up (Beautiful Freak)’.
