Bayimba, Uganda

Bayimba Cultural Foundation aims to fulfil the need to develop the Bayimba Centre for visual and performing arts; as the first ever, cutting-edge, ecologically sensitive multi-media art space and cultural ecosystem constructed in Uganda. In Place of War is supporting the centre with equipment donations, having gifted over £60k of equipment, including a desk donated by Ronnie Scotts. We have also supported the development of DoaDoa East African Performing Arts Market; delivered our CASE Programme across Uganda; and helped to mobilise artists from Uganda to perform in festivals.
